Anodised aluminium colour variations

All matt anodised aluminium will have unavoidable colour variations. Australian standards 2848-1986 and 1231-1985 control the variations in alloy constituents and variations in colour, film thickness and appearance etc. Anodising is a natural finish affected by many variables.

The colours will vary according to the amount of silicone in the base material, the light conditions, ie. variations in intensity and angle, and the anodising process all of which are outside our control. Where a perfect uniform colour is required then a powder coat paint finish should be considered.
